Top Signal has an excellent 65dB dual-band (800/1900MHz) repeater for use in small homes and offices.
Top Signal is a bit different from the others in quality. This is an extremely well-built unit that has everything you would expect, a heavy metal case for RF isolation, industry standard N-Connectors, ON/OFF switch, etc. The one thing that stands out is the fact that in each TS112651 box is the QC test report from the manufacturer. Each amplifier goes through a set of tests before leaving the manufacture and the test report is placed into the box with the amplifier.
Comparing amplifiers is becoming more difficult these days because the different manufacturers don’t present the exact same information in the same way. The Top Signal TS112651 is a 65 dB amplifier. It tests out at 65dB or better and runs at 65dB. Other manufacturers may offer a 65dB amplifier, but it peaks at 65 but runs at a typical 60dB as the norm. Looking at the test sheet for one of the TS112651 repeaters I saw that the 800 Cellular Uplink was 65.43 dB gain, 800 Cellular Downlink was 65.49 dB gain, 1900 PCS Uplink was 65.22 dB gain, and 1900 PCS Downlink was 65.04 dB gain. In all there were over a dozen tests run for both 800 and 1900 frequencies and Uplink and Downlink. I was impressed at the level of detail and the fact that each repeater goes through these tests.
