Setting your cell phone in the cradle puts the phone next to the interior broadcast antenna giving the user maximum cell signal strength from the antenna.  The antenna connected to the Wilson 801201 Wireless amplifier will also broadcast an improved signal in a  2-3 foot radius from the cradle for the driver and passenger.
