Wilson Sleek

Wilson Electronics has announced the new Wilson Sleek (815226).  The Sleek is a new cell phone booster for your vehicle that is built into a universal cradle.  The initial specs say this new cell signal booster is a 2 watt dual-band amplifier that works with all cell phones except Nextel/iDEN.

The Wilson Sleek is sleek.  It is a nice package that also looks good.  The adjustable cradle arms allow for any phone to be placed into the cradle.  The feels well built and is very slim in nature.  It should fit well on the console or dash of a vehicle.

The system is rated at up to 2 watts with about 20dB of gain.  This means that the cell phone must remain in the cradle while in use.   A Wilson mini-magnet mount antenna (4″ tall) comes with the unit along with power supply and mounting hardware.  According to initial press releases and data sheets, no special tools are needed to intall.  The Sleek is considered plug-and-play and easily installed.  We’ll update you on specific details when the system is released.

The estimated street price of the the Wilson Sleek is about $125.  This will make it a very cost effective cell phone booster for any vehicle.  The should be a nice addition to other Wilson cell signal boosters that are currently available.
